Beginning Kagetsu Workshop
The Association will offer monthly workshops for our members.
Description
[What] To learn the basics of Kagetsu from footwork to the flow. [Who] Anyone who can do basic tana temae can attend; preferably people who are beginners and want to learn from the basics; must register online (see below) to attend; those ineligible can observe only; Please ask your instructor if ok to attend. [When] Saturday, February 14, June 27 and August 22, 2026 [Time] From 9 am to 12 noon (Please arrive 30 minutes early for setup and stay 30 minutes after for cleanup as learning opportunity.) [Location] Seikōan 2454 S Beretania St.4th Floor, Honolulu, HI 96826 [Cost] $20 per person (Members only; no student rate) No refunds after the registration deadline (see below). If you do not show up, you will still be required to pay the fee. [Attire] Preferably kimono; at least practice wear and socks. [Instructor] Mrs. Hideko Watanabe and an assistant. *4% processing fee will apply to online payments. *Paid parking available at JCCH for $5 flat rate available upon request. *Deadline: To register by one week before each Saturday (February 7, June 20, and August 15)
